Covid-19 2 Week in Building Service Guidelines
Recently we have had multiple positive cases of COVID 19 by members of the church and praise team.
Unfortunately, the people infected were not aware in time to take preventative measures and other members of the Church were exposed to the virus on Sunday and Monday during the VBS breakdown.
We have consulted with medical providers that advised us to follow the most recent CDC’s guidelines for COVID 19 exposure and they are as follows:
• Quarantine if you have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, unless you have been fully vaccinated.(Close contact is defined as being within 6 feet of someone with Covid-19 for a total of 15 minutes or more)
• People who are fully vaccinated do NOT need to quarantine after contact with someone who had COVID-19 unless they have symptoms. Fully vaccinated people need to wear a mask indoors for 14 days after exposure.
• If unvaccinated - Stay home for 14 days after your last contact with a person who has COVID-19.
• You may be able to shorten your quarantine. After day 7 after receiving a negative test result (test must occur on day 5 or later).
With this information provided, services will continue, but it is a realistic possibility that members present may be contagious and have no symptoms of the virus. Out of an abundance of caution, it is recommended that anyone unvaccinated wear a mask while at the Church.
So starting July 28th all the way through Sunday- Aug 8, we will have abbreviated services at the normal service times. No children’s church/children’s ministry. No Nurseries. No Sunday School, and No meals. Again, the services are at 6:30pm Wednesday and 11am Sunday. We are moving forward with caution, but still moving forward.
We will post updated information here on our church website.
